Our logs are double tongue and groove and our log homes carry the governments Energy Star Seal. Also our logs are grade stamped for
quality. One of the greatest aspects of our logs is they have the heart of the tree in every log. This assures density and maximum energy
savings for your home. All our logs are kiln dried. Our round and log profiles are saddle notched (not butt and pass), giving you one of
the strongest corners in the industry while assuring maximum energy savings for your home. Our Square log profiles are dovetail
notched offering strength, energy savings, and the beauty of craftsmanship. Our manufacturing facility is staffed with people who
care about every home package of materials they are preparing for shipment. From the forklift drivers to those running multi-million
dollar machinery, each package of materials is taking at heart the value of the customer.
Again, call our helpful, friendly staff. Our goal is to earn your business and to extend to you the best service possible. ![]() |

Southern Yellow Pine is a short-leaf, slow-growing tree that produces a dense log with a strong grain structure. It is remarkable for its high-tensile strength. It is considered one of the most structurally sound wood choices, and it is the most popular species used in Barna log homes.
White Pine is known for its distinctive light color and medium-coarse texture, and it has a tighter, less prominent grain than Yellow Pine. Being lighter in weight, it is ideal for lateral applications. Aesthetically, White Pine is chosen for its light color and because it has fewer knots. Barna offers premium White Pine for a variety of applications.
Hemlock is a unique choice with a fairly uneven grain structure that adds a particular aesthetic to the style of the home. This moderately hard wood is also relatively light in weight. Hemlock is available in limited log sizes and profiles.
Western Red Cedar, with its characteristic light cedar scent and warm reddish hue, creates homes of distinction. Naturally resistant to disease and insects, it is relatively soft and light in weight. Western Red Cedar is typically used in lateral applications and cannot be hewn.
